Ouch but yay!

Made a tiny beanie animal…. for FemShep. You can hopefully see where this is going?
Squeak.

Anyway. Aside from my hands really being a bit pants.. I filleted my finger two days ago and it is just barely knitting together… I may have managed to stave off…

When I'm about to take a new pill and I'm just staring at it in my palm, waiting to work up the courage to take it…

i hate trying new pills.

I’m about to try an infusion in the hospital. Internal freakout. Hey you know all that stuff you learned in Immunology? That paper everyone failed the first time it was allowed to be taken by non-pre-med or b.Tech students? Yeah. We’re going to knock out an entire line of B cells in you. That can’t go wrong can it?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4808090.stm

This is how wrong it can go- though my infusion has already been tested.

Not a drug, monoclonal antiodies are biologically derived. Used to be from micies and rabbits (at least for playing in the lab) now from humans. And the immune response is a tricky bugger to control once it has started down the wrong path.

So yes, I am freaking. I hope people around me can understand that I’m not simply making up Teh Dramdrams over losing a little hair.

As a New Zealander I interpreted this in a completely different way

incOHERENT SCREAMS

yeah people overseas just call them kiwis… not kiwifruit… i guess the ‘fruit’ specification is only really important here…

DOES THIS HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH GENITALIA

nO WHAT THE FUCK KIWI ARE CUTE LIL BIRDS AND KIWIS ARE APPARENTLY WHAT U CALL KIWIFRUIT SO THIS GUY IS PROBABLY TALKING ABOUT EATING A KIWIFRUIT WHOLE BUT TO US IT SOUNDS LIKE HE’S A WEASEL OR S/T EATING THESE POOR ENDANGERED FLIGHTLESS BIRDS ;-;

In Britain a Kiwi is a pejorative for someone from New Zealand-Aotearoa so.

pejORATIVE??? WE JUST CALL OURSELVES THAT HERE HAVE U FUKCRES BEEN MAKING FUN OF US THIS WHOLE TIME???????

Whoa if some people there are using it as a pejorative when that’s literally the name we chose to refer to ourselves as then that’s not a great indication of what those British people think of New Zealanders as whole.

True, Earl’s Court used to be known as Kiwi Court (still? Been a long time since I was contemplating my OE which got cancelled due to yay chronic illness after being home for barely 5 months after my solo tour of northern Europe….) but seriously.. it’s not a very inventive insult.

Can we get some creativity up in this piece? Come on there are so many jokes that can be had at our expense. Our PM, for example, going on the Letterman Show.. our obsession with Middle Earth… 100% Pure campaign.. it’s all right there!

October 10th, 1946 | Happy Birthday, Charles Dance!
‘He’s just a true gentleman.’ – Peter Dinklage

– ‘The epitome of the word dashing.’ – Kit Harington

“Actors can’t retire. If actors retired there would be nobody left to play old wrinkly people. You have to keep going, darling – don’t you?”

I saw Mr Charles Dance live. I don’t remember much because 10 pound seats were.. 10 pound seats.. but he was opposite Jessican Lange in Long Day’s Journey In To Night. Self explanatory title really.

Okay so I was on my Phantom stalkery tour where I hung out at Her Majesty’s to talk to the actors and hey Charles Dance was performing in a play as well so… He played the Phantom in a telemovie (Yeston then got his musical which has a few very fun songs as well- This Place is Mine for one).

Anyway, so I get to gloat about that.

Even if technically I didn’t see him for half the play due to the seats of the balcony above actually overlapping our sight lines to the point I saw the edge of the stage and maybe some feet. At interval people took pity on us and had us sit beside them… shhhh. B

Total presence. Be it calm or raging under the surface.

Nyreen test photos, camera on phone is pants

The local has worn off and wheee..

If only I could have this more than once a year. You can’t have them more frequently as corticosteroids do cause bone thinning and in an area of erosion that’s not a good thing. It is probably time for a new set of xrays but it is also time to get very…
